"Sam and I recently had the pleasure of working with both Becca and Scott for our wedding photography and film. From the initial phone call where we got to know more about them; their style and who they were as individuals we knew that they would be able to capture our day the way we wanted. Although we were both nervous before our first session with them, for our engagement shoot, Becca and Scott were able to calm us down and make us feel comfortable by just being themselves. Our engagement photos were not only exactly what we wanted but Becca and Scott went above and beyond to capture the vision Sam and I had in mind. We had no doubt that were the perfect duo for our wedding day.
Leading up to the wedding Becca and Scott really helped us nail down a timeline that would help us get the footage we wanted. On our wedding day Becca and Scott felt more like guests than vendors due to the fact that over the past months we had gotten to know them and they got to know us. Their calming presence, ability to inject humor and fun, and their compassion to our nerves was deeply appreciated by us and noticed by everyone in our wedding parties.
Without question one of the best decisions we made was using Becca and Scott for our film and photos. Upon receiving our wedding day photos back and our short teaser film we were floored. Every photo perfectly encapsulated us and our day. I am truly so happy to have these photos and film as memories to look back on. Becca and Scott are professional, extremely talented, and very personable. We could not recommend them more."
A little bit of information about their wedding & why it was so succesful or why the wedding was so memorable. What about this wedding do you want to point out for couples to digest. What can you offer that other creatives can’t - and how does this weeding showcase that?

"My husband and I absolutely loved our experience with The Leighton Co! Obviously Becca and Scott are incredibly talented, and we knew immediately upon looking at their portfolio that their aesthetic aligned perfectly with our vision.
Their organization and communication skills were evident throughout the entire wedding planning process, and they brought such a warm, encouraging, and calming energy to our wedding day. Multiple guests made a point of telling us how much they enjoyed their presence!
They managed to capture so many beautiful moments without taking time away from our enjoyment of the celebration, allowing us to be totally present. We had an opportunity to do an engagement session prior to our wedding as well, which was such a fun and helpful experience given that we hadn't had professional photos taken previously.
Reliving our day through their gorgeous photography and videography has been so special, and we are so grateful to have worked with them. I would recommend Becca and Scott in a heartbeat!"

"We were immediately drawn to The Leighton Co.’s photography style, and after a quick video call, we knew they were the right fit! Becca and Scott are so personable and caring - the kind of people you want around on one of the most important (and somewhat chaotic) days of your life. Even when our schedule was a bit behind, they were calm and collected. They’ll be your personal hype team during portraits and a fly on the wall during the big moments. Even our guests were raving about how great Becca and Scott were! We couldn’t be happier with how our photos came out, they captured so many genuine moments between us, our family, and friends. Hiring The Leighton Co. was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding process!"

Joelle and Gregory’s wedding weekend was filled with joy, connection, and a spirit of fun that carried through every moment. They light up when they are together and are never afraid to show their emotions, which made their day so beautifully genuine. The weekend began with a breezy cruise on the Lobster Roll around Cape Cod, where mudslides and oversized lobster dinners set the tone for the celebration ahead.
Their wedding day at Wychmere Beach Club was bright and sunny with winds gusting over 50 miles per hour. The weather forced the celebration indoors, but Joelle and Gregory embraced it fully, proving that the best weddings are not about perfection but about being present. The light that filled their ceremony and portraits was absolutely dreamy, and we even slipped outside just in time to catch the last glow of the evening.
Gregory’s emotion as he saw Joelle walk down the aisle melted every heart in the room. The florals and decor brought together a mix of modern and coastal, with chartreuse amaranthus, classic blue hydrangea, a touch of butter yellow in the candles and custom napkins, and a bouquet of white lilies and orchids for the bride. With only Gregory’s siblings in the wedding party, the morning was calm and intimate, surrounded by their closest loved ones.
The reception was filled with energy and delight, from dancing to an ice cream bar, photo booth fun, late-night chocolate chip cookies, and a streamer exit that sent the couple off in style. Joelle’s chic outfit change for the after party was the perfect finale to a weekend that was as heartfelt as it was unforgettable.

Stephanie and Chris’s wedding at Barnsley Resort felt like stepping into a love story that was both timeless and deeply personal. Stephanie, a preservation architect, was drawn to the venue’s historic ruins and the tale behind them, where a husband completed the estate after losing his wife. That devotion spoke to her, and it became the backdrop for a day that honored not only architecture and history, but also faith, family, and joy.
The festivities began with a rehearsal and intimate rehearsal dinner, followed by a welcome party with a la Caja China pig roast to honor the bride's Cuban roots. We whisked away on a golf cart to unveil the bourbon bottle the couple buried for good weather, which other than below freezing temperatures, was beaming with sunlight ringing in the winter solstice. As guests entered St. Mary’s Church on the wedding day, lace handkerchiefs waited for “happy tears,” and a mantilla was draped across the couple as they exchanged vows. Later, the ruins came alive with candlelight and long tables layered in lace, brass candlesticks, and antique wedding bells that chimed throughout the evening. Family-style platters overflowed with bread, fruit, and wine from the resort’s vineyard, inviting everyone to linger and share.
When the evening turned to celebration, Stephanie and Chris carried their playful spirits into an after party filled with laughter and surprises. Guests found themselves under the glow of disco balls, sipping espresso martinis, sharing in the bride's love for affogatos, and joining in a t-shirt toss that had everyone smiling. It was the perfect expression of who they are: old souls who honor tradition, yet never lose sight of joy and the fun of living fully in the moment.

Meredith and Ben’s wedding weekend began along the York River with a rehearsal dinner lobster bake at Ben’s parents’ home, followed by a welcome party at their family restaurant, When Pigs Fly Pizzeria. The tone was relaxed and generous. Italian comfort food, Aperol spritzes, and thoughtfully playful details set the rhythm for the days ahead.
The wedding day arrived bright and blustery. A warm August sun, coastal wind, and an open sky framed the ceremony overlooking Nubble Lighthouse. As Meredith and Ben exchanged vows, seagulls swept through the backdrop, drifting in and out of view against the horizon. The moment felt effortless and distinctly Maine.
As evening settled in, soft summer light filtered through the reception tent, illuminating tables, glassware, and florals with an easy glow. Dinner lingered. Conversation overlapped. A custom lobster photo installation became a gathering point throughout the night.
The celebration closed in full motion. Props appeared on the dance floor, lobster headbands and feather boas passed from hand to hand. Meredith and Ben climbed onto the stage to sing as the crowd gathered close, cheering them on. Unscripted, joyful, and completely their own.
